5 Habits That Can *actually* Change Your Life
Just one might be a start of something fresh
Here we go! Implementing just ONE of these might create a snowball effect and take you on a full-fetched glow-up journey:
Not checking your phone for 30 minutes after you wake up📲
You don’t need to do anything extraordinary to have a high-quality morning. There’s no need to get up at 5 a.m. or do a super complicated morning routine.
TRUST ME - just taking this simple advice will make you feel ten times better before your day starts. ☀️
It might seem simple, but you might find yourself feeling like you don’t even know what to do. That weird feeling is perfectly okay, and you will start enjoying it.
We’re so plugged in that we don’t even know what not being plugged in feels like. Go for it. Au naturale baby. 🌾
Exercise 🏃🏻♀️
UGH I KNOW. So basic. And so NOT overrated. Girlies I have nothing else to tell you. Start exercising. You have to. It makes you look better, feel better and think better. ✨
Just do it. Don’t think much. Just start. (you can also read this class if you struggle to enjoy exercise)
Gratitude🙌
Right after you turn off the lights when you go to bed, list in your mind at least five specific things you’re grateful for from that day. 💬
How you go to bed sets the tone for how you’re gonna wake up tomorrow morning. If you fall asleep ruminating on your worries, your to-do list or entertain any other negative thoughts - that will set the tone for your brain. ⏰
It will perpetuate anxiety and lower the quality of your sleep.
Listing things you’re grateful for shifts your mind onto a better track. By doing it repetitively you will make it a habit for your brain to switch to more positive things. 🌞
Journaling ✍🏼
Girls journaling is so underrated.
I get it might seem complicated. There are so many instructions on how to do it, and so many journals to buy - there’s really no right way to do it.
It’s not meant to be another task for you or a skill you need to master. It can simply be a vent for you.
You don’t need to do it every day or at a specific time of the day. You find what works for you. 📓
But when something is bugging you and you can’t seem to clear your mind, a really useful thing is to write about it.
Because your mind can be chaotic, but when you’re putting it all down on paper - it has to have a structure. 📝
You can’t start writing three sentences at a time, but your mind can interrupt three thoughts without finishing a single one. (using the structure I explained here can be useful as well, if you don’t know where to even start untangling your mind processes)
Not being hard on yourself🌸
You did something wrong. It’s alright to feel bad. But know the limit. ⚡
Chances are you probably already complicated your circumstances in your life by doing that thing - so are you really going to make it even harder for yourself?
Are you really going to beat and hate the crap out of yourself with your thoughts? 🧠
You don’t have to.
RECOGNIZE that you are ALLOWED not to hate yourself.
Learn from the past and then leave it there.
Keeping it short and sweet this hot summer week. That’s all I have for you today.
Until next Thursday,
Your Glowing Bestie 🌸❤️
