How To Romanticize Your Life 🎀

It's more than a trend

A phrase that has been plastered all over the Internet (well, at least our side of the ✨🌸 Internet ✨🌸) is: romanticize your life.

But what does it even mean? Is it just another aesthetic?

Not exactly.

It might be a trend, sure, but it’s just repackaging the ancient wisdom of live in the present moment and be grateful. 😌

Romanticizing your life means putting a pause on any little moment within your day and appreciating it.

🎀 Romanticizing = making something romantic/ cute/ enjoyable 🎀

It is all about making the most out of the little moments that make up our lives - drinking coffee, getting ready in the morning, waiting for the bus, checking your e-mails… ☕

It’s essentially a way of living ✨ mindfully ✨ - appreciating where you are instead of always being all up in your head worrying about the past or future.

👉 How to do it? By adding a little bit of magic to the thing you’re doing everything. For example:

  • waking up 20 minutes earlier to enjoy your cup of coffee in peace

  • writing your study notes with cute colorful pencils

  • trying out a new recipe every now and then

  • buy yourself flowers on your way home

  • light up a scented candle while you’re doing work on your laptop

  • make yourself a fresh juice

  • do your makeup super cute for no reason

  • play your favorite song on your way to work

  • think about the people you love

…… so many things you could do to stop the mundane from getting to you! 🌟

Say you’re cleaning your kitchen. How the heck should you romanticize that?? 🧼

You could, for example, turn on some music and vibe. You could listen to your favorite show or a podcast.

Or you could do the exact opposite and give your overstimulated body a break by turning off all the devices and taking some time to clear your mind while cleaning your environment as well. ♻️

You could allow yourself to really be present in the moment and stop thinking about what you have to do next, what’s on your weekly schedule, or some person that pissed you off earlier that day. 😡

Instead, you could press pause and appreciate everything you are grateful for at that moment - the kitchen you’re cleaning, the plates you’re eating out, the food you got to share with your family… 😌

The big life events like graduations, weddings, birthdays, vacations… they are not representative of our lives.

97% of the time you spend on this earth is doing things like cleaning the kitchen. 🧹

It’s about time we stop dreading those tasks and delulu ourselves into enjoying them. ✨

🎀 Romanticize your life, bestie! 🎀

Sending you love and light,

Your Glowing Bestie ❤️✨
