How to make yourself feel better instantly

As we are sliding our way into 2024 and striving towards being our best selves, I am here to give you another tool you can use on your self-improvement journey, especially if you struggle with not being able to feel happy in the moment.

Meet your new sidekick - glimmers. ✨

So what are they? Glimmers, or happy triggers, are small and subtle moments that bring joy, positivity and comfort. Although they might be small, they are key experiences that serve as your daily weapons against moments of self-doubt and slump. ✨

Romanticizing your life and glimmers go hand in hand and what lies in their essence is the art of noticing.

Anything can be a glimmer - a cup of tea, a beautiful sunset, a song by your favorite artist, spending time with your pet, calling your loved ones…

Regardless of what your happy trigger is, the point is to soak in the moment. Be present and appreciate it. Feel the gratitude for being able to take a moment to participate in something that raises your energy level, right here and right now.

When you’re being present, that’s when the magic happens. 🌟

If we view our whole life as a collection of nows, then the best thing you can do is enjoy every step along the way.

But, life is not always sunshine and rainbows and that’s alright.

However, I want your life to be as much sunshine and rainbows as possible so I am giving you a task.

Grab your phone, a napkin, or whatever's nearby and write down a list of at least 15 things that make your heart do a happy dance, or at least make you go to that cozy space within you. 🎀

It could be having a coffee at your favorite coffee place, acing a video game level, or that weirdly satisfying feeling of popping the bubble plastic wrapper.

I know it might sound silly but do it anyway. Just trust me on this one.

These moments, my glowing friend, are your personal joy goldmine. They might seem small, but trust me, they're the real MVPs when it comes to turning ordinary days into extraordinary ones. ⚜️

Now, when a challenging day unfolds, you have your armor ready. Open your list of joys, and choose a simple act you feel called to at the moment.

Taking these moments for yourself and for recharging your soul is what keeps you going. It’s what keeps you growing and glowing.

Remember, the self-improvement journey is not a race, it’s a marathon. Enjoying the little moments is essential not just for the sake of it, but also because it keeps you going. 💡
