✨ How to gain confidence ✨
Reading time: 2 mins 30 sec
In the last newsletter we discussed why confidence is important (if you haven’t read it, do it before continuing with this one) and now it’s time to get into the nitty gritty - how to gain confidence. ⚜️
Without further ado, let’s get into it:
Be good at something🛠️
Nothing guards your confidence better than, well… being confident in knowing how to do something. Having a skill can never be taken away from you, it’s yours and yours only.
It can be anything - cooking, writing, math, playing sports, playing an instrument…
If you are kind of good at something now, perfect it. By gaining mastery, you will be gaining confidence. Bonus points if you enjoy doing it. ♟️
If you don’t think you’re good at anything at all, I have two things to say:
a. I’m sure that’s not true. Think again.✨
b. Think of a skill that seems cool and useful to you, and start practicing it. ✨
Move your body🏋️♀️
Girls, when I tell you - physical activity is so underrated! By moving your body you quite literally release the happy hormones.
Is there a better cheat code to both feeling and looking better? I don’t think so.
Everyone who’s ever done a training session can confirm - even though it may be challenging at the moment, in the end you feel fantastic.
Why? Because you did something good for your body and brain. 🧘🏻♀️
But we all know that the really difficult part is not the exercise itself, it’s the part of getting up to do it. 💪
So, my tip is to find an activity you enjoy. There are so many activities you could do, and choosing any of them is better than doing nothing.
Always keep learning💡
Stay educated girlies, because the more you learn the more you know.
If you’re in school - keep studying. Have you ever met a successful person who has told you ‘’Oh, I wish I haven’t studied’’? No, right? (use your own discernment) 👩🏫
If you’re out of school - find a way to keep learning. Read books, listen to podcasts, read articles, talk to interesting people…
As much as academics are important, it’s important to know how to educate yourself outside of it.
Test your perspectives of the world, listen to opposing opinions, ask questions and always keep thinking and learning. 🧠
Because truly, knowledge is power.
Understand what success means to you👉
If success was a word with a simple meaning, we would all be living the same life.
But it is not a simple word. Every single person has their own vision of what a successful life means for them.
You don’t need to know exactly and precisely, but get an idea. Is academic validation important to you? Would you like to have a family someday? What are your main values? 🤔
Knowing what you’re aiming for will give you a sense of clarity and you will be able to move towards your goals.
Break down your goals and start moving toward them📝
When you know what you’re aiming for, becoming successful becomes less intimidating because you can start moving towards it. 🎯
Start incorporating habits that bring you closer to where you want to be in your daily life.
The thing is - you know exactly what you need to do. You just need a push. 🙌
If you want to be a baker, act like a baker and well… bake and educate yourself about bread and whatnot.
If you want to be a singer - start learning about music, practice etc.
Having a big final goal can be intimidating and that’s where a lot of people give up. 🏳
But remember:
Rome wasn’t built in a day.
Even the most impressive achievements started with a first step, and were continuously built piece by piece. 🏙️
Your path will be no different, so don’t be afraid to make small but consistent moves.
Once you see yourself making progress, you will not want to stop and your confidence will skyrocket. 🚀🚀🚀
My besties, remember that building confidence is a process. It takes time and you need to be brave enough to invest the effort again and again.
It is also important to realize that setbacks in confidence are normal. 📉
At one point you might think you’ve mastered it, you feel really good about yourself but then life throws something at you and you feel like you are at the start line once again.
It is a process, a reversible one. Confidence can be gained, lost, and gained again. 🔁
And anyone can do it. Especially you. If you couldn’t you wouldn’t even be reading this newsletter.
But you got it in you and you know what? I know you can feel it too. ✨
So don’t let the world bum you down. 🌷
Stay glowing and growing,
Your Glowing Bestie ✨❤️
